Hi everyone!
My name is Melida Duarte and I'm from El Salvador, a small country in Central America which offers a variety of nature that everyone visiting the country should enjoy. It is possible to travel in a short time from its beautiful beaches to the city or to a mountain, depending on your preferences. It is also possible to visit many scenic villages and learn about culture, traditions, gastronomy and more. If one day you decide to come here, I'm sure you'll love it! π
I have been a teacher for many years now and I have taught people of all different ages and abilities. During my spare time I like to read novels, especially suspense or mystery genres, I watch movies and spend time with my family and friends. I love traveling and visiting places to have the opportunity to meet people with different social and cultural backgrounds. I'm lucky to have visited Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Spain among other countries. What I like is the experience of knowing how the local people live in every place, and if you visit El Salvador I encourage you to get to know some locals! Of course speaking some Spanish will help a lot with that.
βIf you love food, you'll love El Salvador! Because of the variety of landscapes and environments we have here, food varies widely. Along the coast you'll of course find great seafood. Further inland, you'll find all kinds of carne (meat), vegetables, and of course our famous pupusas! La Libertad is a beach town not far from the capital, San Salvador, where you can get great seafood at great prices. Ceviche is very popular!
El Salvador is sometimes known as the "land of volcanoes" but don't let that scare you away. They are beautiful to observe....from a distance!
Thank you for reading! I hope you'll consider traveling to my country some day, and learning some Spanish before you do π
